Here’s another easy to make cake, posted on Facebook’s fan page for feijoa lovers.
SPICED FEIJOA CAKE
Ingredients
- 125g butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped feijoas
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
Topping
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
Method
- Add feijoas, sugar and egg to the melted butter.
- Beat well, then fold in sifted dry ingredients.
- Pour mixture into a lined cake tin.
- Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake.
- Bake at 180℃ for 30-40 minutes, until the centre springs back when pressed lightly.
